The final qualifying round in the WRU Regional under 20 Championship takes place tonight (Wednesday 23rd) at University of Glamorgan playing fields in Treforest, with Cardiff Blues needing their best result of the season to deny Llanelli Scarlets a place in the final at the Millennium Stadium on April 30.
The Ospreys, who host the Dragons at Aberavon, have already qualified for the final, leaving the second place up for grabs when the Blues meet the Scarlets. The game was due to be played at Pentyrch, but due to pitch conditions has been moved to the new venue in Treforest, kick off is 7pm.
For the Blues to qualify, they will have to come away with a victory and a bonus point to boot, whilst at the same time restricting the Scarlets to less than four tries on the night.
Competition ambassador Rob Howley said, "It's great to see the competition going to the wire with both the Blues and Scarlets in with a chance of making it through to face the Ospreys."
The Blues will be boosted by the return of Wales under 21 Grand Slam winners' Chris Czekaj and Rhys Shellard, but the Scarlets, who have spent all season in the top two in the table, will start as the warm favourites to go through.
