It was a Christmas present to remember when patients young and old got to meet their rugby heroes during a special hospital visit at the start of this week.
Blues stars were guests of honour at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and the University of Wales Cardiff Hospital as they dropped in to spread some Christmas cheer!
Children at the hospitals were surprised when over 25 of the region’s first team players walked through the wards to meet fans, sign autographs and chat with excited youngsters and their families.
Blues and Wales ace Cory Allen said: “It was great to be able to put some smiles of the faces of the children. Something as simple as giving an hour of our day can make such a difference at this time of year.
Richard Holland, Chief Executive at Blues, added: “Our annual visits to local hospitals in Cardiff are part of our ongoing community work and something we are proud of.
“The players really enjoy trying to boost the spirits of young patients and their families during what is an extremely difficult time of year to be in hospital.”
