Blues Kick Off summer event schedule in style

2nd July 2008

Cardiff Blues held their annual Family Fun Day last weekend and it proved to be hugely popular with young supporters.

Thousands of fans turned up to enjoy the sunshine and the activities. The Blues squad were on hand to sign autographs and pose for photos and the Cardiff Blues player of the year Paul Tito took to the stage to answer a few questions on the forthcoming season.

As well as rugby, football, cricket and golf coaching, youngsters also had the chance to have their faces painted and be entertained by crowd favourite Mr Tricks.

The bouncy castles and soft play proved popular with the infants but the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the Macot Race. Six characters took part this year, and despite a good start by Rodney The Dragon from Newport and a strong finish by Carwyn the Leek it was Bruiser the Bear who triumphed as the crowd cheered him on.
