This year's Blues Cup and Plate finalists have now been confirmed for the three age groups (U12s, U13s, and U14s) following a series of semi-final days throughout the region.
This year’s competition has been a ground breaking venture with the introduction of the group structure and second tier plate competition.
The newly structured Blues Cup has seen over 1500 children play in 84 pool games, 24 quarter finals and 12 semi-finals with the climax of the competition seeing BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park host 6 finals on Sunday May the 7th.
There will be representation from all corners of the region at the finals day with 2 teams travelling from the Heart of Wales (Cefn Coed and Aberdare) 5 teams from 4 clubs in Taff Rhondda (Treorchy, Ystrad Rhondda, Pontypridd and Pontyclun), and 5 teams from 4 clubs in Cardiff and the Vale (Rumney, Llantwit Major, Pentrych, and Llandaff).
The finals day will see a full day of rugby at CAP with both the Cup and Plate competitions reaching their conclusions with the first kick off at 10am and the last at 4.15pm.
Thank you to all the players, coaches, referees, parents and guardians, volunteers and clubs throughout the region who have made this year’s competition such a success!
