Cardiff Blues have announced confirmation of a pre-season fixture against newly promoted Guinness Premiership team, Bristol Shoguns.
The fixture will be played at the Memorial Stadium, in Bristol on Friday 26th August, kick off 7.30pm.
The Shoguns squad which won the National League One title last season included amongst their ranks two former Blues players, Darren Crompton and Jim Brownrigg. Whilst Blues wing Dean Dewdney will also be hoping for a run out in preparation for the new season against his former team, Bristol.
Director of Coaching Dai Young said,
"Our links with Bristol go back many years and this game will be ideal preparation for the start of the new season as they are one of the best coached and supported sides in the English Premiership."
