Cardiff Blues can confirm Dane Blacker has joined the Dragons on a short-term loan deal.
The Dragons are currently without several first team scrum-halves and with plenty of strength in depth in the position at Wales’ Capital Region, it was seen as an opportunity to give Blacker game-time.
Blacker goes straight onto the Dragons bench for their Guinness PRO14 clash with Ulster, while Lloyd Williams, Tomos Williams and Lewis Jones continue to vie for places at the Blues.
Cardiff Blues head coach Danny Wilson said: “We currently have Lloyd, Tomos, Lewis and Dane all fit and competing for one starting position.
“This was a good opportunity to give a young player first team exposure in the PRO14. The experience will undoubtedly benefit Dane in his development and that will in turn benefit Cardiff Blues.”
