Executive member for Sport Leisure& Culture, Councillor Nigel Howells, said: "This weekend is truly a super one for Cardiff sports fans. Our football team are in the Championship play-off final and our rugby team could win their first European trophy. With so much at stake, we felt it important to create a great atmosphere in the city to celebrate the achievements of both teams and for fans to be able to watch the game in the heart of the capital.
"Fingers crossed both teams will get the results they deserve and on Monday we will have a Premier League football team and an Amlin cup final winning team to be proud of. Good luck to both the Bluebirds and the Blues."
