Cardiff Rugby enjoyed a record-breaking international day as Wales triumphed over Scotland in the Guinness Six Nations last Saturday.
With the Locker Room event returning to the hospitality marquee, which has been sponsored by Aspen Waite and Glamorgan Brewing Co, with 450 corporate guests, the Arms Park clubhouse open, Guinness Fan Village returning and numerous private bookings across the site there was plenty of action at the Arms Park.
The Guinness Fan Village was close to capacity before and after the big game with supporters treated to not only plenty of bars and street food from the Meating Point, but all matches on the giant screen and live entertainment to keep the party rocking.
It all added up to a record-breaking day of revenue at the iconic ground for a Wales international and there is plenty planned for the remaining rounds.
Cardiff Rugby chief commercial officer, Rhys Blumberg, said: “Saturday was a brilliant day at Cardiff Arms Park, which was absolutely bouncing whether you were in the marquee, the clubhouse or fanzone.
“It is testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, as well as the support of our many partners, that we are able to stage so many events concurrently.
“We have been building both our corporate offerings and the fanzone during the last few years to ensure we maximise the commercial opportunity, so it’s very pleasing to see the success of Saturday and the appetite there is.
“The Arms Park is very much the place to be on international days and it is something we will continue to grow.
“We would particularly like to thank Aspen Waite and Glamorgan Brewing Co for partnering with us on the marquee and Guinness for supporting our fanzone.”
The Cardiff Arms Park clubhouse will be open for all Wales away games, while the Guinness Fans Village returns for Rounds Four and Five as Wayne Pivac’s side take on France and Italy.
There are also limited hospitality packages available for the hugely popular Locker Room events in the Aspen Waite Marquee, starting at £1,500+VAT for a table of 10.
The line-up for Les Bleus has been confirmed in recent days with former Wales ‘Fab Four’, Mike Phillips, James Hook, Lee Byrne and Shane Williams the guests of honour.
