Josh Adams has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2020 Guinness Six Nations.
The Cardiff Blues ace suffered an ankle injury during Wales’ defeat to France on Saturday and will now undergo surgery.
It is hoped the 24-year-old could return to action before the end of the Guinness PRO14 season.
A Welsh Rugby Union statement read: “Josh Adams will play no further part in the 2020 Guinness Six Nations following an ankle injury sustained in the match against France.
“He is due to have surgery this week and it is envisaged that he could return in 12 weeks for the latter stages of the Guinness PRO14.”
